Famous Devon tea room - Primrose Cottage, Lustleigh

Lustleigh on the edge of Dartmoor offers a unique experience.  Visit the Primrose Cottage a famous Devon tea room and find out why our guests return to this picturesque Dartmoor village again and again.

More than just Devon cream teas

The village of Lustleigh lies east of Dartmoor, where open moorland meets the Devon countryside of wooded hills and fields. The thirteenth century church stands in the centre of the village and overlooks a cluster of thatched cottages, a community Village Store, a rural Post Office, the Primrose Cottage Tea Room and the fifteenth century thatched pub.

A five-minute walk from the centre of Lustleigh, past the tea room and cricket field over a small clapper bridge, will bring you to the ancient hamlet of Wreyland, a “village within a village”. Here there are more exquisite thatched cottages, dating back to the fourteenth century, and delightful cottage gardens including Dave's veggie plot.  Your entire holiday could be spent within the parish of Lustleigh - wandering around and enjoying cream teas from the Primrose Cottage - Devon's best tea room.

PrimroseThe Primroses are flowering especially early in Lustleigh this year and to celebrate the new owners of the Primrose Cottage tea rooms have begun to open at weekends.  From 25th March they're open most days

I hope I'll get a complimentary slice of cake for this feature.
